About Rachakonda FORT:
Rachakonda Fort stands tall amidst unique rock formations that amplify its visual appeal. These formations are not merely natural occurrences but have been cleverly incorporated into the fort’s design. The fortress is carved out of a single massive rock, showcasing the architectural prowess of yesteryears.

Historical Importance

Whispers of a bygone era echo from every corner of Rachakonda Fort. This fort was once the epicentre of power, serving as the capital for the Velama kings in the 14th century. Its historical significance is amplified by tales of war, victory, and grandeur that are etched on its walls.

What to Expect:

=> Hike in a forest, could have wet slopes
=> Meet our experts and clear your questions regarding hiking
=> Strictly no swimming

Itinerary:

Start Early from Hyderabad to reach base village before 9AM 
MODE 1– Private Transport – You can drive upto base village by CAR or JEEP. We will share the location. Please drive carefully 
MODE 2– You can board direct bus to Base Village ..the bus starts from MGBS around 5 AM in the morning which will reach maximum by 9 AM ..Please note that you have to walk around 1km to reach the trek starting point
9 am Reach Base Village, Start Trek
12 pm Reach top & explore rocks 
4 pm Complete Trek 
5 pm Time to say bye bye! 
by night reach hyd..Please drive carefully! 

NOTE – Coming to Rachakonda base is participant responsibility! HTC don’t have control or provide any transport facility! 

THINGS TO BRING:

1. Wear comfortable clothing such as tracks and t shirts,
2. Wear sport shoes only
3. Get fruits/juices/energy bar/something light to munch on after and during the trek,
4. Sun cap (Optional),
5. Water bottles – 2,
6. Bring spare clothes in case you get muddy

PHOTOGRAPHS OR VIDEO CLIPS: Hyderabad Trekking Company – HTC reserves the right to use Photographs / Video Clips of the member taken in event and / or given by member, for promotion of the club activities without obtaining prior permission of the concerned member.

Good sports shoes/sneakers/trekking boots are mandatory for this trip. The trek will not be permitted in sandals, chappals or loose/torn shoes.

As it is the monsoon, please be prepared for unforeseen circumstances and discrepancies. HTC doesn’t maintain responsibility to closure by forest department or local weather conditions. We strive to do the best in what we can, in the safest way possible.
